One of the most charming cities of Switzerland is Lugano, a city of great craftsmen and of exciting music making. Since 1954 Lugano has been a veritable Mecca for the world’s outstanding instrumentalists. There they have created a quality of ensemble playing which, by now, has the entire world talking and applauding. Under the direction of Maestro Richard Schumacher, The Masterplayers have become one of the truly great orchestral ensembles of the world. In North, Central and Southamerica the orchestra The Masterplayers was responsible for over 600 performances in 400 towns through Courtesy of famous Artists and Concert Managers, Albert Morini, Columbia Artists, Joanne Rike, Erneso de Quesada, and Conciertos Daniel. In Europe performances with standing ovations at Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro Sao Carlos Lisbon, Grosser Kursaal Wiesbaden, Herkules Saal Munich, Roskilde Domkirke Denmark, Finlandia Hall Helsinki, Fürstensaal Fulda and the great cathedrals in Orvieto, Utrecht, Leon, Salamanca are unforgettable

appearing at the White House Washington-President Reagan- and performing on a live radio broadcast heard around the world with the Berlin Radio Orchestra, cellist David Cunliffe has performed with BBC and Royal Scottish Orchestras, toured throughout Europe with Yehudi Menuhin, Camerata Lysy and Balanescu Quartett, pianist Marta Aznavoorian has appeared with the Chicago Symphony, Sydney Symphony, performed at the Kennedy Center Washington, Sydney Opera House, Steinway Hall and worked with many renowned conductors including Sir George Solti).
